My wife and I have been in the sheep and goat business for 31 years. Fifteen years ago we started a commercial sheep flock and goat herd and have been increasing our numbers in the sheep flock. We primarily raise hair sheep in our commercial operation, but also have a feedlot operation where we feed lambs and goats for slaughter. We began raising dairy goats for the sole purpose of rearing orphaned lambs and baby goats. We have strived to produce heavy milking goats with good udder attachments and dispositions. In addition, we are also a buying station for sheep and goats. Several years ago we started buying stock from individuals because no sheep or goat auction existed in our area of Oklahoma.
